Easy come, easy go

I have a hard time understanding why someone would feel a need to outfit a ship in hi-sec like this for running level 4 missions.  But to do so is insanity for no other reason than you know eventually someone will notice.  And in hi-sec where it can be difficult to notice a tail and a lack of an intelligence channel to alert you to roamers, one has no way of knowing of impending doom.  What someone does with his or her ISK is up to them, though I bet everyone would agree that 35 Billion ISK is gross overkill for hi-sec mission runners, and spending that kind of ISK to outfit a ship in hi-sec calls into doubt the pilots judgement.

Still the story of the ships loss is a good read and shows just how simply an insanely tanked ship can be lost.  As surprising as that,  is to read that in all of that time no assistance came to try to save the ship.  I can only imagine the ribbing the pilot has been receiving from his Corp.  Though I notice he founded it just short months ago, and it only has 13 total members as of today.  The character is only five months old, so either the pilot is an alt of a fabulously wealthy main or the ISK for the ship and fittings was earned through some other means.

For now, Michal Cross and his Officer Fit Vindicator stand as a cautionary tale for EVE pilots.  To Michal Cross and his ISK, easy come, easy go.
